August 16 – Remember the tent we told you about? No? Well let us describe it again with the words, stinky, 50 years old, stinky, warm and stinky… oh and by the way the tent was in the middle of the bush-bush. We woke up in the already warm morning, we smelled like the tent and we were ready for some fresh air.
This day in Ripabottoni wasn’t really active, as it’s a small town with something like 500 inhabitants. We decided to walk around again and we bought some groceries. When we arrived back at the house we took a quick jump in the pool. It’s funny because a few years ago I ( Vincent ) worked on this pool, so it was nice to see it finished and of course to use it!
After this we took some relaxing time and started preparing dinner. Us making dinner is like spending a whole day in the kitchen, in other words we’re not really fast but that’s of course because preparing food needs time and love!
By now it was already 10 o’ clock in the evening. Jeroen told us about the traditional feast of this village that was starting that night. It was about the celebration of the village’s guardian angel. We went to the village’s center where the feast was. There was a little stage with some opera singers and a cafe. It was rare to see this many people because normally there aren’t a lot of people around this town, but because of the feast also the younger families came.
So after having some fun it was time to sleep. This time we moved our mattress to the living room… you probably know why!
